The roleAn opportunity for a Mine Surveyor to join our expanding West Coast team based in Perth. The focus is on large mining-associated road, rail and mine construction and operations encompassing remote survey and measurement works across Western Australia.Your jobYou will undertake a variety of surveying work as per client’s requests, manage day-to-day elements of your projects including client interface, fieldwork, calculations, safety and quality assurance.The following undertakings are part of your remit:undertaking open-pit and underground mine surveysworking with clients to achieve production and safety targetsrunning surveys in an efficiently and professionallymaintaining accurate records of job progressimplementing control documents for all specified tasks (JHA/JSA, SOPs)maintaining professional development and trainingadding to continuous improvement activitiesproviding seamless handovers to incoming survey crewsYour skills/qualificationsIn line with our philosophy, you’ll have a "no problems just solutions" attitude. You’ll also need:a minimum advanced diploma or bachelor’s degree in surveyingpreferably a minimum two years-plus underground and/or open-cut mine surveyor experiencea current manual driver’s licencesoftware experience with Surpac, Deswik, Vulcan, Pix4d, Agisoft applicationsexperience in best-practice control installation, survey checks and network adjustmentshardware experience with Leica/Trimble Total Stations and DJI or Phantom drones/UAVs, GPS and scanninga strong balance of customer service skills and technical proficiencyAdditional advantages would be current first-aid certificate, experience with scanning, 4WD training experience/certification, and a current RPAS licence (multi-rotor and/or fixed-wing)Your dealYou’ll have access to stable and ongoing work across a variety of long-run projects.
